Post is direct Latin, Post, meaning past or beyond.

Script comes from Scriptum, meaning body of text.

not sure about the greek, but in latin:

post = after

scriptus = writing

evolved meaning: after writing, hence a post script (abbreviated 'p.s.') has come to mean something the writer adds AFTER he/she has finished WRITING the letter (or other body of words).

hope this helps.
