Being is what I like most "to be or not to be" is not even a question.Yes.

Yes you can start a sentence with 'being.' However, your sentence is a run-on sentence. I would end the sentence after the words point of view. Start a second sentence Maps were made.....

Yes. The rest of the sentence however is bordering on rambling. I would clean up the rest of the sentence to make it a little easier to understand.
