write your objective as.." Dedicated, hard working Registered Nurse with Medical and Surgical experience wishing to enter a rewarding long-term career in ..... field " .what is the exact role you ,want? do you want to specialise more? you need to put that in your objective. be specific. tailor it to each job opening (whether it is ideal or not). If you are submitting your CV to a recruiter, put your specific wish.

put your work history with last job first/reverse chronological order. so start with your current nursing, then secretarial last.

I would also suggest you change or remove "Acted as a role model and preceptor to new graduates".. maybe something more modest? "aiding students with practical experience and training "? It is up to a student to define you as a role model, not a title you can give yourself.

under skills and certifications, put your actual qualifications first, then abilities, then opinions about yourself. Pretty much, if your good at something, write excellent, otherwise just describe the skill. Sooo..

License #------, State of New York 2006

C.P.R. and First Aide Certified

Medication administration

Dressing changes, including sterile fields

Catheter and IV insertion and care

Central line care

Patient education

Literacy in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Windows Explorer and networking

Excellent leadership skills

Excellent social and organizational skills

by the looks of it, your experience and qualifications will speak for themselves. my only big suggestion is to be clear on the type of role you want to go into, as this will come up in any interview, and help you show your dedication to the profession.

You're hired! Looks good to me. I've never seen "First Aide Certified", tho; only "First Aid Certified". I know of a "nurse's aide" but I think first aid is without the "e".

-also, I'd probably say "highly literate" or even just "literate" rather than "exceedingly literate"; that sounds a little bit over-the-top to me.

-also, just a small thing, it should be two years' experience.
