We are glad to inform. We are proud to inform. "We" is the subject, a group of people. "are" is a helping verb, which comes before a descriptive adjective or adverb. For instance... "is" purple, "was" gone, "will be" here. These are your helping verbs: am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been, can, could, shall, should, will, would, have, has, had, do, does, did, may, might, must. They describe what is happening. The state of being... "We ARE happy". "We happy" is broken English and does not connect the two words. In this sentence there is a group of people and there is happy, but no connection to the people and "happy". "Who" is happy? "We" ARE happy. "Are" in this sentence, means that it is happening now. We are currently happy. "Were" means it happened in the past. We were happy. And likewise.... "Will be"... We will be happy.... in the future. We must be happy... (It is necessary that we be happy).. We should be happy (We ought to be happy), etc.

Basically, we always see at the time of writing or speaking people used "we are glad to inform".

Both require "are." Specifically, we are glad, we are proud, or we are (whatever).

In standard British English, there must always be a verb, thus "We are glad to inform" etc.

Any form such as "We glad", or "We happy" is not standard in British English, but that form is used in some parts of the wide-spread English-speaking world, possibly Caribbean English.

I think this one is correct. "We're glad to inform sb that/ We're glad to inform sb of sth".Similarly, "we're proud to inform" is correct.

Here, these two word "proud" and "glad" are both adjectives and they always appear in these phrases.Let me list them for you.

1. The Usage Of Proud

1) be proud to do

2) be proud of sth

3) be proud that+clause

2. The Usage Of Glad

1) be glad to do

2) be glad about

3) be glad of

4 be glad that+clause

PS: If you wanna use an adjective to describe how you do things, you can usually add the infinitive directly after it to show people what mood or situation you are in when you are about to do something.

'glad' is not a verb. It is an adjective.

I am glad that... : 'am' is the verb (to be)

We are glad to inform...: 'are' is the verb (to be)

"We are glad to inform" and "We are proud of him" are correct.

Also take note that you should say "I will be happy if it's explained"(' it's ' not ' its ')
