I just sent my resume to someone, and they e-mailed me and said, they were unable to open attachment, please resend it in word format. What exactly does she mean?? I sent it the first time in a word document. So, what does she want me to do??

Try saving the document first maybe in .doc format instead of .docx if you have word 2008 or 2011 for Mac (or the newer versions of Word for PC- forget the years though). If the previous is true, press Save As, and under the Format bar, choose for example, what says "Word 97-2004 (.doc)". If this does not help, something's just messed up-- on Microsoft's end.

If you sent it as a document formatted in Microsoft Word, then you must have sent it in a version they couldn't read. Go to the "save as" option and save it in the earlier format (usually there is only one) if your version is the latest. If your version is old, you need to go to a computer with current Word and try to upgrade your document there.
Hope that helps.

Perhaps she is using an earlier version of Word. Convert it to a Word 2003 doc.
