So as the question states, who can I use as reference? Like for a job application or a volunteer application form. Teachers and supervisors are two that I already know of, but there are some difficulties when it comes to only those two choices for me since I have no supervisor and no teacher knows me very well.
Would my mom/dad's friends do as reference?
How about my friend's mom/dad?
Can I use those people as my part of my references?

When dealing with references you need to think about a few things. The best thing to do is compile a list of people that best know your accomplishments, work ethic, education, performance, skills, and attributes. This means previous supervisors, co-workers whom you worked closely with in the past, educational mentor ( Professor/Teacher) this is not only limited to a paying job but you can use people that know you from internships, volunteer work, club or sport activities ( coaches/ club adviser).

If it is not possible to find such a reference other people who could reasonably be expected to be an upstanding member of society can be used. People who are widely known in the community is best like Doctors, Lawyers, Clergy. It is alright to use friends or friends family, but try to avoid your own family and make sure that they are at least 18 and have known you for a year or more. When using friends, friends of the family, or friends family try to use those that can give you the most benefit. If the person used as a reference can be considered somebody respectable by society (example: Senator, Police, Fireman,Military), if the employer knows the person (more likely to trusts a person he knows), someone in the same or similar business as the employer are all what should be considered good references. As long as you can get all the details for each reference (full name, current title, company name, business address, and contact information) and ask them if they can be used as a reference you can use anybody as a reference as long as they are 18 years are older, known you for at least one year, and not a family member. This means the answer to your question is yes you can use all of them, but should you as I said you should think about using people respected and known in the community before using random references and since you need 3-5 of them it is best to create a list of potential references.

Anybody can be your references as far as they know you very well. If they know your disposition , your mental and emotional qualities that distinguish you from the others, they could be your references.

Yes you can use your parent's friends, or your friend's parents. In these situations they're known as Personal References.
