I want to learn morse code?

i want to learn morse code, but i know absoloutley nothing about it. dont just tell me to practice everyday, because i dont know how to identify characters. could someone please provide a website that maybe has a video of how to find the keys. i know nothing about it so jsut practicing wont work if i have no idea what beep bip bbbeeep bip bip means. help pelae?

i jsut found out you cant acually speak morse code (or can you), you need a machine. if you need a machine, where can oyu get it? do they sell them at places like walmart? how much do they cost?

Whatever method you choose to go with, put down the pencil or the pen. It is a bad habit (that I picked up) when learning morse code and it is hard to get away from. Try to copy with just your ears, and like you are listening to a conversation. Always listen to a faster speed than what you are trying to achieve, and do a lot of on the air listening for a variety of sending styles.

Eventually, you begin to recognize certain

combinations of sounds as words.

I think Morse code is a valuable tool when

one can't speak normally, especially

when one is in the hospital.

The Morse Code contains dots and dashes and nothing else. No dots and dashes, no Morse. Radiotelephony made it obsolete years ago.



Edit- Excuse me, I must have acquired my misinformation operating Benghazi Radio and Aden Radio for Cable and Wireless 55 years ago. The spoken form is Dahs and dits. But why would you bother?
