I say the F word too much?

Question

I say the F word in almost every single sentence without wanting to. Like for example a normal person would say this sentence like this “I like going to the amusement park because it's cool and the rides are really fun.” This is how I would say that sentence, “I like going to the fuc'king amusement park because it's fuc'king cool and the rides are really fuc'cking fun.” I only talk like this in person and I can't really help it that's just the way I am. I have tried talking fluently without using the F word a lot but I stutter a lot when I don't use the F word because I'm so used to saying it and when I don't say it I sound like a fuc'king robot. Please help, the people I talk to don't really seem to mind it because they say they like the way I talk but I really want to stop. Like I even talk like that when I'm having an important meeting. The things I say when I use the F word are fuc'king amazing, I could make almost anyone do anything just by the way I talk. I can sell weed to a fuc'king nun if I wanted to but only by using the F word. I suck at talking without the F word. Should I stop? And if so, how can I stop? Because this is really hard for me.

Good for you--you don't want to sound like a jerk. It seems like quitting cold turkey isn't working for you, so I suggest you start with finding a good substitute word like "freaking". Still not great, but better. Next substitute with a milder word like "darn". I'm guessing by that time you'll be ready to quit altogether because it just doesn't sound as bad*ss. And think of it this way: if you use your best swear word all the time, what are you going to use when you're really ticked off? Good luck!

have someone make sure every time you curse they correct you



"shut the f*uck up"

"freak" (or whatever word you would like to replace the F word with)



your brain will eventually adapt to that word .
