Does this sentence make sense or how do I make it sound better?

It's been a while since we were last in contact, just wanted to know whether Mike has had time to troubleshoot the 'permissions' issue your colleagues are experiencing? If yes, could you please give me a brief update on how far you have gone in terms of trialling software?

It sounds pretty good the way you have it, but I would write it like this:

It's been a while since we were in contact, so I just wanted to know whether or not Mike has had time to troubleshoot the 'permissions' issue your colleagues have been experiencing. If he has had the time, could you please give me a brief update as to how far you have come in terms of trialling the software? Thank you.

I only made a couple small changes; besides that, I think it looks great!

I think the only thing I would change is the If yes to if so.
