I'm the opposite. I want to write answers fast but I just can't help making errors, I have to take my time and spell right. And when I press preview and I noticed I make a mistake, I go back and fix it. It's like a sickness, I can't help it. Although I don't use spell check.

On behalf of the Peepul Inthrested Inn Neet Kynds Ov Spellinq, I must protest your highly insulting question. Why spell a word correctly when you can spell it at all? If I type "Theirs ah spyder awn yore legg" and it causes you to remove or kill it, the message has been understood, regardless of the spelling. Some day, every one will spell every word any way they like and it will be all right. Pwr tu tha Peepul!

Does it really matter that much? We aren't in the classroom!
Some people may have dyslexia or similar and cannot spell or differentiate between the correct and wrong spelling!

I agree with you on this one, some people don't know the way round the keyboard either, I always double check before I submit.

Grammer is also a problem as well. I know a few dyslexics so it doesnt bother me too much. I just have to get my head round reading their words phonetically.

lol I'm dyslexic but I'm still a stickler for good spelling... and you're right, people just can't spell to save their life.
(BTW I don't use spellcheck.)

You can talk - look at your ID!!!
Some of us don't want to waste time getting the spelling perfect as it is the content of the answer that counts as far as the asker is concerned.
Lighten up a little will ya :-)

If we're nit picking, there's no comma required before the word 'but'.

I agree, and I think the method of shortening words to there phonetic equivalent is childish.
