What is the correct way to writing season's greetings? With an apostrophe or without one? Please explain...

it's the first way--with an apostrophe. it's possessive, as the greetings belong to this particular season.

Well it depends it could be both - Season's greetings is like the seasons are greeting you (less X-masy :p) and Seasons greetings is like someone is wishing you enjoy the seasons. I prefer Seasons Greeting- I think it sounds nicer hehe xx

It's greetings of the season, so greetings is property (grammar terms) of the season, so it's Season's Greetings.

As it's a seasonal greeting (OF the season, a possessive form), it takes an apostrophe.
