what is a strong word for stupid?

to be used in the context of, "gosh. that's so stupid." or "that's really dumb."

gay and retarded are not synonyms for stupid and are often used in that context for more emphasis.
i need a better word than that.

you would more often call someone ignorant than say something they said was ignorant.

like instead of saying "gosh that was ignorant" you'd say "gosh, you're ignorant."
