Type, kind, or ancestry of a person. "You can't trust people of his ilk."
It comes from a Scandinavian language.
EDIT: I just looked it up in the Urban Dictionary, and it said, "type."

I don't know the meaning people make up a lot of new text slang it changes to fast to keep p, but here is the break down if it is slang since ILK can mean a person of that type or following.
I- I
L - Love, Like, Laughing
K - Know, Kick, Keyboard
They could also be using the quick skip of letters which means the ILK is short hand for I Like ( blank)
These are the common usage of the letters. Hope it helps.

The difficulty of standing up to insanity is the unpredictability of the response. Economic sanctions is the method favoured for controlling North Korea because it is far less confronting than a military intervention. However, the issue with this as with Cuba is that the people within the country who have done no wrong other than have a government which is not seen as acceptable by the majority of the rest of the world. Also, with the global financial crisis, many countries are already overstretched. Standing up to North Korea is not financially feasable at the moment. Also, if by stand up you mean military action as i think you do, North Korea would be able to cause a devastating humanitarian crisis in South Korea quite easily with the weapons which they have, whilst somewhat rudimentary compared to those of other more advanced nations, they would still wreak havoc. This is the danger of standing up to North Korea, the other danger is an Iraq kind of situation, a long drawn out war which results in a large amount of death and makes people ask the question, where are those weapons of mass destruction?
