Paul is correct. Uncheck smart quotes from MS Word Tools and you will get the straight quote marks

Go to Insert- Symbols and you will find several versions of quotation marks in there.
Or you can copy and paste those ones you typed from here into your document.

You go to options and unselect where it says to use the curly quotes.
Oh, someone finally got it, but the first few answers were off the mark.

If you mean yours have curls on the end
and end up like
curling inward
it means you need to change the font to one without tails.
if thats what you mean?
Times new roman curls
and Arial etc dont :)
