The word "lame" has two different definitions. The correct one to use depends on the situation.

1) Lame - adjective; slang for something that is boring, stupid, unpopular, undesirable or outdated. A sentence might read, "This class is so lame!"

2) Lame - adjective; a body part or animal that is injured or not working. A sentence might read, "The lame horse can no longer compete in races." or "His lame leg makes him limp a lot."
