My spellchecker doesn't catch "noone" as incorrect, if it is...

It's a common spelling error. I use Microsoft Office Word and just checked. When I typed "noone," spell checker offered the words "no one," "none," and "noon" as alternatives.



"Noone" can refer to Peter Noone as "Herman," the lead singer, of "Herman's Hermits."



And, a "nooner" is a quick romp at lunchtime.



I got a chuckle when I read the definition of "noone" on UrbanDictionary.com: "Most commonly used by people who acquired their literary skills in online chat rooms."

I have never heard that! It is no one. I am an English graduate, writer, teacher, etc aged 75.Maybe it has moved on since I was taught, but I would never use no-one!

you migthve accidently added it to your custom dictionary (like in microsoft word or whatever program your using)



noone would be counted as the incorrect spelling of none.

when you type it into google with "define: noone" it corrects it to "no one".
