(new paragraph) “ Hello? Anyone there?” I screamed as I scurried through the rooms.
(new paragraph) “ Sniff, Sniff, Sniff,” as I heard continuously.
(new paragraph) As I trailed off to where the sound led to the sniffles began to grow louder and louder

- did i do this correct ( i mean the paragraphing)
- do you start a new paragraph after someone conversation or you leave it as the old one like

“ Hello? Anyone there?” I screamed as I scurried through the rooms.
“ Sniff, Sniff, Sniff,” as I heard continuously. As I trailed off to where the sound led to the sniffles began to grow louder and louder

It is true that every new piece of dialogue is another paragraph, but there are exceptions.

Ex. 1

"What do you think..." I began, "of the math class?"

When you break up dialogue, you keep it in the same paragraph because the same person is talking.

Now, your paragraph needs work. It should be this, broken up into two paragraphs (with some extra words and deletions):

"Hello? Anyone there?" I screamed as I scurried through the rooms.

I heard someone sniffling and as I trailed off to find it, the sniffles began to grow lounder and louder.

don't totally get the drift but I would say the second one.

Hello ....blah blah is one person

Sniff.....is another

I would put a new para for each new person
