Sometimes it is closer to town and sometimes it is closer by the bus.Today the bus is closer to town.That makes the town closer to the bus.It really depends on whether it is a full moon or a leap year.I suggest you not go to town especially by bus.You should buy a donkey and ride in the opposite direction because if you make it to town they might lock you up for being crazy.Just stay away from town and don't get on the bus.Don't listen to the voices.I think they have already driven you crazy.Take another Prozac and stay home,at least stay home until it gets dark.Hope this helps.Good luck,you're going to need it.

Since you posted in 'Words & Wordplay':

IT -> IN -> TIN -> TON -> TOWN (4 changes)

IT -> IS -> US -> BUS (3 changes)

I hereby declare BUS the winner.

But maybe if you spell them in matchsticks you can come up with some clever splicing and chopping.

Hey zuzu, just listen to you,

you really don't know what to do.

Closer to town,

if you ride on a clown.

Don't make a fuss,

just don't ride a bus.
