Question:
Is "pares" an abbreviation for "paragraphs"?

My assignment says to write "roughly five pares." My assumption is that it's just a typo and that it should say "pages," but for some reason I feel like I've seen that abbreviation used before... plus I'd rather right five paragraphs than five pages!

Have seen paras, but never pares.

Considering that PARES stands for paresthesias, that "R" is really close to "G" and the fact that you have an assignment I would stick to pages. If you are not sure just give a call to your teacher. There is nothing wrong with asking.

I'd go with the "pages" if I were you :-) Better to over-kill than to fail to do enough on an assignment, after all. Nice try, though ;-)

Pares is also a Latin word, as in 'inter pares' meaning 'among equals.' No help, was it...
