I need to buy a complete English grammar book containing rules on one page and exercises on the other page. It should include grammar from the beginners level to advanced. Does anyone have any advice in which brand is the best when it comes to grammar and exercises? Oxford, Cambridge?
Thanks.

If you want something which keeps the specific grammar point in context i.e. builds up an environment and explains it within the situation, English Grammar in Use (Cambridge) is quite a good choice.

It is not theoretical. It is practical filled with illustrations and accompanying exercises.

Practical english usage by Michael swan is also good book
