I know what it means but, what is it? People say, that's ok. or Hey it's ok with me. But what dose "OK" stand for? where did it come form? Are you all "ok" with this question?

I have the Power to give 10 points now, OK!?

"It " and "that" are devices "they" developed to keep "everything" running smoothly -- in other words, "OK". "OK" is an old word meaning "on kilter," the opposite of "off kilter." It did not arise from "okay;" in fact, "OK" came first and was changed to "okay" by newspaper columnists who wanted to use the term but didn't like its informal look. (Perhaps we"ll deal with the word "everything" one day, if that's OK.)

It originated from the word "okay" which means fine, well. People are lazy and don't want to write "okay" so they shortened it. It is technically not correct gramatically.

OK is short for the word 'okay', meaning acceptable.

Nobody is really sure, but there are several theories. See my source.
