And I don't mean "annoying". I have recently learned that "annoyedly" is not a word. Even the Yahoo Answers thing is telling me I have misspelt it.

So, there must be a word for something having the properties of being annoying.

"The slowly blurring background shows the citizens talking annoyedly as they make their way out of the hall."

What is needed from what Yahoo! question that was written is a list of adverbs that modify the verb "annoy."

The adverbs do modify the verb "annoy" in these sample sentences:

I (adverb) annoy Jane. I have (adverb) annoyed Sarah. I will (adverb) annoy Warren.

Here are the appropriate adverbs and they are:

carefully

correctly

eagerly

easily

loudly

patiently

quietly

Note that they all end in "ly" which identifies them as adverbs. Good luck.

Ignore the Yahoo word speller check - it doesn't understand half the time.

I would make it -

"The slowly blurring background shows the citizens talking IN AN ANNOYED FASHION as they make their way out of the hall."

OR

"The slowly blurring background shows the citizens talking AS THOUGH ANNOYED as they make their way out of the hall."

It gives the same meaning.

Well, in that sentence, the form of "annoy" is an adverb. It's describing how the citizens talked. So, the adverb form is "annoyingly"
