Who do you make a crossword puzzle on Microsoft Word or Excel?

I have to do a project that needs me to do a crossword puzzle and I have no idea how to make one.

I would think it would be easier in Excel as you could manipulate the boxes, using borders around the boxes you wanted to be filled in. Unless you're required to use Word or Excel, I would recommend using of the many free online crossword puzzle builders instead. Here's an example: http://www.armoredpenguin.com/crossword/

Thats super easy Just put one letter in each cell to create the word. Than all around borders on it. Don't do a table in word. Word sucks at what excel does.
