Why does the news say twenty eleven for the year 2011 and not two thousand and eleven? In 2001 in the news said two thousand and one, not twenty one or twenty o one. So why now do they say twenty eleven instead of two thousand and eleven?

If I got a 2011$ paycheck I would say I got paid two thousand and eleven dollars I wouldn't say I got paid twenty eleven dollars. Why is the news saying it all weird just because its a number in the form a year? If so why???? When did this start?

TWENTY 11! No it is basically too a lot. 'Can infrequently stand maximum of sevenelevens yet i circulate to 'em too. in accordance to danger next year, whilst the meek inherit the Earth, in any diverse case, if the year desires to sound solid, twenty continues to be a teenager the situation 2000 i could say "useful, sir" to.

it's like 1911 or something. they're not gonna say one thousand nine hundred and eleven. they just do this to make it easier. i mean just say 2011 to yourself. isn't it easier to say twenty eleven than two thousand and eleven? twenty eleven just flows better. and for 2001, two thousand and one sounds better than twenty oh one. it's just a matter of what's more appealing to the ear.

Well, if you look real closely, you'll see that there's a 20 & an 11, thus making it possible for them to say twenty eleven.

Saying 2001 twenty one isn't possible, 'cause there's still a zero left, plus it would be retarded to say twenty zero one or twenty o' one.
